Highmark Walk
The Walk for a Healthy Community is a fundraiser presented by Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield that benefits 44 local nonprofit health and human service agencies in Southwestern PA, including Pittsburgh Habitat for Humanity.
This year's event will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2009 at Heinz Field on the North Shore. Community members can register to participate as individuals or as a team benefiting Pittsburgh Habitat for Humanity now by going to www.walkforahealthycommunity.org
You can sign up for the 5k or the one mile fun walk depending on your interest and Highmark underwrites the entire cost of the walk so 100 percent of the money raised by our participants will directly support our affordable housing efforts in the Pittsburgh area!
